Global Leadership Conference

On Friday the 11th of June, four Year 11 SRC members, Jenny Huynh, Rahmatullah Hussainizada, Natalie Ambrose and Stephanie Ambrose attended World Vision's Global Leadership Conference 2010.

It was a fun day that was aimed at promoting student leaders to take action not only within their school but on a global scale. Issues that were of particular concern included poverty, famine and country inequality. A particular point of interest was gaining support for the 40 hour famine.

The 40 hour famine is a fundraising event that is held annually, aimed at raising money for those who are less fortunate. This year, all donations will be going towards the Global Food Crisis.

If you wish to give up food, technology, furniture or something else for 40 hours, get sponsors and ultimately support World Vision in their cause, speak to your SRC representative and see what you can do!
